Greenall's

Established in 1761, G&J Greenall is the oldest continuous distiller of London Dry Gin in the world. The long history of this world renowned gin started when Thomas Dakin purchased a distillery on Bridge Street in Warrington, England, and made his first batch of gin. Darkin’s gin was unlike the other poor quality spirits sold in the gin shops of London. He worked hard to ensure his gin was of the highest quality, a gin that would satisfy the thirst of the discerning wealth of travelers passing through Warrington on their way to and from London by stagecoach.

The production of Greenall’s Gin is almost identical today as to how it was almost 250 years ago when Thomas Dakin set up his first still. It is the same neutral spirit, pure local water, botanicals, and copper pot stills that create the authentic taste which makes Greenall London Dry Gin so distinguished today. We continue to make this award winning gin under the guidance of Master Distiller Joanne Moore. She is the only female Master Diller of gin and the seventh Master Diller for G&J Greenall London Dry Gin.
